∵ AB ║ CD

⇒ 58° = 20°+y

y = 58-20

   = 38°

∵ 58° + 22° + ∠OEG make a line

∴ 58° + 22° + ∠OEG = 180°

⇒ ∠OEG = 180 - 58 - 22 = 100

In Δ OEG,

∠OEG + ∠EGO + ∠GOE = 180° (Angle sum property)

100 + y + x = 180°

100 + 38 + x = 180°

x = 180-100-38 = 42°

Hence, x = 42° and y = 38°

Answer:

x= 42

y = 38

Step-by-step explanation:

y+20=58. ( corresponding angle)

y = 58-20 = 38

(y+20) + (z+22) = 180.

(because AB parallel CD)

58+Z+22 = 180

Z = 100

Now,

from triangle angle rule

x+y+z = 180

x+38+100 = 180

x = 180 - 138 = 42
