Area of octagon,

 A = 2 {a}^{2} (1 +  \sqrt{2} )

Where a = length of side of octagon

A = 2 \times ( {5})^{2} (1 +  \sqrt{2} ) \\  = 2 \times 25(1 +  \sqrt{2} ) \\  = 50 + 50 \sqrt{2}  \\  = 50 + 50 \times 1.414 \\  = 120.7 {m}^{2}

You can also solve by finding the area of Rectangle and two trapezium.

Area of octagon = Area of Rectangle + 2(Area of trapezium)

Area of Rectangle = 11*5= 55m^2

Area of trapezium = ((5+11)/2)*4 = (16/2)*4= 32m^2

Area of octagon = 55 +2*32=55+64 = 119m^2

There's a slight change in both the solution because of the irrational term root(2). You can consider any one method.
