here spring is in equilibrium and also mass of spring didn't mention it means spring is light or neglible mass
for first spring which is connected in block
in equilibrium condition
spring force = mg
F1 = mg
hence first read 4 kg-wt
now for second spring
F2 = F1
but from above F1 = mg
so, F2 = mg = 4g
so , reading of second spring = 4 kg-wt
so , both read same mass e.g 4kg
for first spring which is connected in block
in equilibrium condition
spring force = mg
F1 = mg
hence first read 4 kg-wt
now for second spring
F2 = F1
but from above F1 = mg
so, F2 = mg = 4g
so , reading of second spring = 4 kg-wt
so , both read same mass e.g 4kg

Answer:
here spring is in equilibrium and also mass of spring didn't mention it means spring is light or negligible mass
for first spring which is connected in
block in equilibrium condition
spring force = = mg F1 = mg hence first read 4 kg-wt
now for second spring F2 = F1
but from above F1 = mg
so, F2 = mg = 4g
so , reading of second spring = 4 kg-wt
