explanation --> as total distance covered is S so it civer S/2 distance in going up and S/2 distance in coming down.

So by using equation of motion in upward journey,

H = ut + 1/2 at²

(here H is S/2)

We get t = \sqrt{s/g}

so total time of flight   =  2t = \sqrt{4s/g}

Question 2 : option a

by using equation of motion in upward journey.

V = U + at

by putting values of U, a and t

we get v = 10m/s.
