a) the hot food smell goes to meter away because the partickes hot food collides with each other . They collides with each other because the enthalpy of heat is more and due to more enthalpy more collision takes place.
b) The driver is able to cut water in swimming pool because he is moving in opposite direction to the water.when he moves opposite to water more force is required to move forward.
c) It is true that liquid have lower density than solids but ice floats of water due to the principle of buoyancy. Acc.to this principle heavy substances floates on water but lighter substance were sink .that's why ice floates on water.
d) For any substance the temperature remains constant during its chnging state because the temperature depend upon the initial and final path , it doesn't depend upon the time travel by temperature.
e) We feel cold when we put pretrol or acetone on our palm this is because they are volatile in nature and when they vaporates they leaves the cold effect.
f) Napthelene balls evaporates without leaving any solids because it evaporates with very high temperature so any solids cannot remains while it evaporates.
g) Steam causes the serious burn then boil water because the particles are more active in steam then in boil water.
