the above lines convey that when poet had a healthy teeth without any decay or cavities she didn't give any importance to her teeth...
she brushed in the nameshake with a brush without hairs...and always ate chocolate, gobstoppers , lollies etc..
but when she grew up then she realised that she was paving the the way to caps, cavities and thought why she didn't look after her teeth
