each equal side = 3x - 4

so perimeter of the triangle = (3x-4)+(3x-4)+x=55m

= 7x - 8 = 55m

= 7x = 55m + 8

=7x = 63m

= x = 63/7 = 9m

there fore :- third side = 9m

each equal side = 3x - 4 = (3 x 9) - 4 = 23m
