Answer:

Given,

Perimeter of Square = Perimeter of Rectangle

Find Area of Rectangle

Perimeter of Square

Perimeter of Square = 4S (S - Side)

S = 60 cm

Perimeter of Square = 4 × 60 cm

= 240 cm

Perimeter of Rectangle

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(L+B) (L - Length B - Breadth)

L = 80 cm

B = B cm

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(80+B) cm

Finding the Breadth

It was given that the Perimeter of both the Square and Rectangle are similar. So,

2(80+B) cm = 240 cm

(Transversing of 2 to RHS)

(80 + B) cm = 240 cm / 2

(80 + B) cm = 120 cm

(Transversing of 80 to RHS)

B cm = 120 cm - 80 cm

B = 40 cm

So, the Breadth of the Rectangle is 40 cm

Area of Rectangle

Area of Rectangle = L × B

L = 80 cm

B = 40 cm

80 cm × 40 cm

= 3200 cm²

The area of Rectangle is 3200 cm²
