RAM- Random access memory

ROM--Read Only Memory

difference--RAM is volatile memory that temporarily stores the files you are working on. ROM is non-volatile memory that permanently stores instructions for your computer

similarity--RAM and ROM main similarities are they're both primary storage devices, And they especially do same thing storage wise, But retain information differently. Have a good one

--Full forms are; PROM= Programmable Read Only Memory. EPROM= Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory. EEPROM= Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory.
