in the problem we see 104 is third term and 114 is first term and common difference is -5. Then 4th term is 99 and that shows that first negative term will be -1,
so we can write
114+n(-5)=-1
or 114-5n=-1
or 5n=115
or n=115/5
or n=23.......(ans)
so we can write
114+n(-5)=-1
or 114-5n=-1
or 5n=115
or n=115/5
or n=23.......(ans)

how do you get that first negative term is -1
a = 114, d= -5
nth term = a+(n-1)d
according to the question we need to find a term so that :
a+(n-1)d < 0
114 + (n-1)(-5) < 0
114 -5n + 5 < 0
119 - 5n < 0
119 < 5n
23.8 < n
or we can say from 24th term all terms will be negative
