so ∠BOC = 40 (give)

OB = OC (diagonals are equal and bisect each other)

so ∠ OBC = ∠OCB (Angles opposite to equal sides are equal)

so let ∠OBC = x

also with that ∠OCB = x

∠OBC + ∠OCB + ∠BOC = 180 (Angle Sum property)

x + x + 40 = 180

2x = 140

x = 70

so x = ∠OBC = ∠OCB

that is how both angles are 70∘
