question no.1).A regional party become national political party if :-

1) At general election to lok sabha,the party polls 6% of vote in any 4 or more states

2.win atleast 4 lok sabha seats

3.get recognition as a state party in atleast 4 states.

question no.2). we need political parties in a democratic system for the following reasons:-

1. conducting elections

2.for forming government after the election by the party with majority votes

3. opposition parties for keep an eye and check on ruling party's work
