Answer:

India has made rapid strides in improving rates of under- and malnutrition. Between 2006 and 2016, stunting in children below five years declined from 48% to 38%. Yet, India continues to have one of the world’s highest child undernutrition rates, impacting the child’s health and development, performance in school and productivity in adult life.

Answer:

According to the UN Hunger Report, hunger is the term used to define periods when populations are experiencing severe food insecurity—meaning that they go for entire days without eating due to lack of money, lack of access to food, or other resources.

Our relationship with food is changing too. In a matter of months, COVID-19 has brought about a change in behavior many nutrition educators view as critical to public health and sustainability: cooking. I dearly hope that the current surge in home cooking spells a long-term reversal in the overall decline home cooking that stretches back to 1965.
