(x - 2y)^2 - 6( x - 2y) + 5

Let ( x - 2y) be any alphabet except y & x

Therefore,( x - 2y ) be 'b'

Therefore the given equation can be written in term of b instead of (x - 2y)

So it will be,

b^2 - 6b + 5 [ Middle term splitting]

b^2 - b - 5b + 5

b ( b - 1) - 5 ( b - 1)

( b - 5) ( b - 1) ---(1)

Substituting the b as (x - 2y ) in equation (1)

Therefore, It will be

(x - 2y - 1 ) & ( x - 2y - 5)
