1.One of the most studied groups of heterotrophic plants is Cuscuta (dodders), the sole parasitic genus of Convolvulaceae (reviewed in Stefanović and Olmstead, 2004, 2005). Species of Cuscuta are characterized by long slender stems, with scale-like leaves and no roots.
2.The leaf is called the food factory of the plant because it makes food by the process of photosynthesis with the help of raw materials like water and carbon-dioxide using sunlight and chlorophyll. THE LEAF IS CALLED THE FOOD FACTORY THE PLANT BECAUSE THEY MAKE FOOD BY THE PROCESS OF PHOTOSYNTHESIS.
3.Answer: Leguminous plants replenish the soil by the presence of Rhizobium. These plants contain legumes and nodules which reside in the bacteria called rhizobium. These bacteria convert the atmospheric nitrogen into a soluble form that can be absorbed by roots.
