I will try to answer the questions which I know
1. The boy can buy a new ball which costs 1 dime.
He can afford to that 1 dime but he can't forget the fruitful memories of the days in which he played with the ball happily.
3. The poet wants the boy to experience such a loss so that he can learn how to tackle all such loses when it comes to humans.
