Time under consideration or time is taken t = 8.0s

Formula

We know the equation of motion.

Distance, s = ut + (1/2)at2 —————-(i)

Substituting the given and known values in the equation (i) we get,

s= 0 (8) + 1/2 (3) (8)2

= 1/2 (3) (64)

= 3(32)

= 96

Therefore, the distance travel by motorboat = 96 m
