Step-by-step explanation:

28. As AB is parallel to CD and AC is the transversal, we have

(< = angle)

<DAC = <ACB =y (alternate angles are equal)

=> y = 45°

Now, In triangle CAB we have

x + y = 70° ( the exterior angle of a triangle is equal to sum of interior opposite angles)

as y = 45°

x + 45° = 70°

i. e. x = (70° - 45° = 25 °)

x = 25°

Now, <ACD = x = 25°

Therefore, In triangle DAC we have

z + 45° + <ACD = 180°

z + 45° + 25° = 180°

Z = 110°

29. As ABCD is a parallelogram

so, diagonals are equal to each other

2(x + 1) = 3x - 1

2x + 2 = 3x - 1

2x - 3x = - 1 - 2

-x = - 3

x = 3

Again we have ,

5y +1 = 6y - 1

5y-6y = - 1-1

-y = - 2

y = 2
