1. rectangle A: 8cm x 3cm = 24cm²

  rectangle B: 5cm x 7cm = 35cm²

  rectangle A + rectangle B: 24cm² + 35cm² = 59cm²

2. rectangle A: 6cm x 7cm = 42cm²

   rectangle B: 5cm x 4cm = 20cm² (because 10cm - 6cm = 4cm)

   rectangle A + rectangle B: 42cm² + 20 cm² = 62cm²

3. rectangle A: 7mm x 10mm = 70mm² (because 30mm - 20mm = 10mm)

   rectangle B: 20mm x 5mm = 100mm²

   rectangle A + rectangle B: 70mm² + 100mm² = 170mm²

4. rectangle A: 7m x 6m = 42m² (because 4m + 2m = 6m)

   rectangle B: 1m x 2m = 2m²

   rectangle A + rectangle B: 42m² + 2m² = 44m²
