1)- 

(2x+14)/(3x+6) = 4

by cross multiplication,

2x+14 =4(3x+6)

2x+14 = 12x+24

14-24 = 12x - 2x

-10 =10x 

-1 =x

-1 = x

2)-first taking LCM,

(2a-a+1)/2 = [3-a+2]/3

cross multiplication,

3(a+1) = 2(5-a)

3a+3 = 10 - 2a

3a+2a =10 - 3

5a= 7

a=7/5

3 )- (x+2)/6 - [(44-4x - 3)/12] = [3x-14]/12

     [2(x+2) - (41-4x)]/12 = (3x-14)/12


as 12 is common in both, it will cancel

2x+4 - 41+4x = 3x-14

6x - 37 = 3x -14

6x - 3x = - 14 + 37

3x =23

x= 23/3 

4)- 

  (2 - 3x)/3x = 1/12

cross multiplication

12(2-3x)= 3x


[12(2-3x)]/3 = x

4(2-3x) = x

8 - 12x = x

 8 =x+12x

8 =13x

8/13 = x
