1.Because the particles can move, liquids don't have a definite shape, and they can flow. Because the particles are still packed close together, liquids can't easily be compressed and keep the same volume. Because there are still quite a lot of particles in a small volume, liquids are quite dense.

solids have high density because of the closer packing in solids on account of stronger inter molecular forces than in liquid or gas.


Gases have high kinetic energy because the average kinetic energy of a gas particle is directly proportional to temperature.An increase in temperature increases the speed in which the gas molecule move.


Naphthalene balls change into vapour because they under go sublimation(directly change solid to vapour) at room temperature. They are vaporisable subatance so they easilyturn into vapour.Their inter molecular force is very weak and can easily vaporises to gas.


Inter molecular forces decrease on heating because a high temperature gives the molecules enough kinetic energy to break away from their neighbours.
