Step-by-step explanation:

3.i)

( {2x + 3y)}^{2}  - ( {2x - 3y)}^{2}

Using the identity, a^2-b^2=(a+b)(a-b), we get,

 = (2x + 3y + 2x - 3y)(2x + 3y - 2x + 3y)

 = 4x \times 6y

 = 24xy

3.ii)

5a + 7a + 2b + 8b - a + 1

 = 12a + 10b - a + 1

 = 11a + 10b - 1
