1) We can clearly understand that 3/4 of the students do not watch the tv show.
  3/4 of 48 = 3/4 x 48  = 3 x 12 = 36 students do not watch tv show regularly

2) We have to find 5/6 of 12 = 5 x 2 =10 months

3) Let the other  number be 'y'. Then :
    6 2/9 * y = 42
     56/9 * y = 42
     y = 42/(56/9)
      y =  42 *9/56
     y = (3*9)/4
    y = 27/4
   y = 6 3/4
  
4) We have to divide:
   2/3 / 10
   = 2/3 * 1/10
  = 1/3 * 1/5
  = 1/15

5) We have a rule that product of a number & its reciprocal(multiplicative inverse) is always 1. So, the other fraction is 11/7

6) We have to multiply 8 1/2 with 3 2/5.
    8 1/2*3 2/5
   = 17/2*17/5
   = 289/10 km
   = 28.9 km

7) Remaining water = 10/10 - 2/10 = 8/10
    Remaining quantity of water = 8/10 x 2540
                                                  = 8 x 254
                                                  =  2032 litres

8) Perimeter = 2(l+b)
      =   2(35 1/4 + 16 3/4)
     = 2(141/4 + 67/4)
     =  2((141+67)/4)
     = 2(208/4)
     = 2 (54)
     = 108 m
