1) Here the well have cylindrical shape and the platform is cuboid

therefore,

   volume of well= volume of platform

ie. volume of cylinder= volume of cuboid

VOLUME OF CYLINDER

diameter= 7 m

radius (r)=7/2=3.5

height (h)= 20m

Volume of cylinder =π r² h

      = 22/7 x 3.5 x 3.5 x 20 = 770 m³

VOLUME OF CUBOID

length(l)=22m

breadth(b)= 14m

let height be h meters

volume of cuboid = lbh

     =22 x 14 x h

here,

volume of cylinder= volume of cuboid

770= 22 x 14 x h

h= 770/22 x 14

h=2.5 m

There fore height of the platform is 2.5 m

2)  here,

       number of coins=  Volume of cuboid / Volume of 1 coin

Diameter of coin = 1.75 cm.

Then, radius = 0.875 cm.

Thickness = 2 mm = 0.2 cm.

Given, Dimensions of cuboid =l,b,h = 5.5 , 10 ,3.

Volume of coin = πr²h = (22/7) x  (0.875)² x0.2  = 0.48125.

Volume of cuboid = l  x b x h = 5.5 x 10 x 3.5   = 192.5

Therefore ,

Number of coins = 192.5/0.48  = 400.
