here both the resistors are in series so current remains constant in series so i is same

from resistor two we apply ohms law

V = iR

12 = i *6

i = 2 ampere

we got I = 2 ampere

so let's use this value in resistor 1

apply ohms law there

we get

V = iR

6 = 2 R

R = 3 ohms

so resistance of resistor 1 is 3 ohm

the resistors are in in series so total potential difference of the battery is 12+6=18

therefore

R = 3 ohm

ammeter reading = 2 ampere

potential difference = 18 volt
