1)The process of photosynthesis involves a few events that may not occur immediately after one another. There might be a time lag between them.

i)The chlorophyll present in chloroplasts absorbs energy from sunlight.

ii)This light energy is then converted into chemical energy which is used for making food.

iii)The water molecules split to give hydrogen and oxygen.

iv)Finally, CO2 absorbed is reduced to form glucose (carbohydrate).

Sorry christina5876 I don't have the diagram of stomata

2)Plants need proteins and fats besides the carbohydrate. Proteins are nitrogenous substances which contain nitrogen. Although nitrogen is present in abundance in atmosphere, but plant cannot absorb atmospheric nitrogen. Plant gets nitrogen from soil. Certain types of bacteria called rhizobium, are present in soil. They convert gaseous nitrogen into usable form and release it into the soil. Plants absorb these soluble forms of nitrogen along with water and other minerals through roots.

Hope this helps you
