GIVEN- AB = AC
THEREFORE - 1/2AB = 1/2BC ( multiplying 1/2 on both sides)
According to the question above -
1/2 AB = BX AND 1/2BC = BY
Now we have shown earlier that
1/2AB =1/2BC
THEREFORE BX =BY
THEREFORE - 1/2AB = 1/2BC ( multiplying 1/2 on both sides)
