(A) The reason for this could be that :

  •  copper bottom makes the pan more durable.
  • such pans appear colourful.
  •  copper is a better conductor of heat than the stainless steel.
  •  copper is easier to clean than the stainless steel.

(B) Citric acid in lemon juice etches away copper oxide that gives the vessels the dark color. When the oxide is removed, the copper metal underneath is exposed, it has a common ph range of 2-3 and reacts with metals and serves as a good cleaning fluid for metallic surfaces. copper become "dirty" they have formed a layer of copper oxide on their surface. Copper oxide is a weak base and consequentially reacts with a weak acid, such as lemon juice.

(C) Sodium is high reactive element. If it is kept in open it can explosively react with oxygen to catch fire. Hence to prevent accidental damage sodium is immersed in kerosene oil.
