Answer:

Total distance covered = 20 + 5 + 30 = 55 km = 55000 m

So the average speed = total distance / total time

= 55000 / 100 = 550 m/s

(the question is not practical as the speed of sound in air ≈ 320 m/s)

Total displacement = 20 - 5 - 30 = - 15 km = -15000 m

so average velocity = total displacement / total time

= 15000 / 100

= 150 m/s

Answer:

Average speed= Total distance ÷ total time

A.S= (20+30+5) ÷ 100

A.S=0.55

Average velocity = Total displacement ÷ Total time

A.V= ((30+5)-20) ÷ 100

A.V=0.15
