(I) As the branching of carbon atom increases surface area also increases.on increasing the molecules the van der waals force decreases that is less boiling point is required to separate molecules to each other.
(II) The lone pair on oxygen of O-H in phenol is being shared withbenzene ring through resonance. Thus, lone pair is not fully present on oxygen an hence phonols do not undergo protonation reactions.
