______Here's your Answer..€_____

Area of Shaded Region = Area of Rectangle - Area of Triangle.

=> Area of Rectangle = l× b

=> 18 × 10

=> 180cm^2.

For Triangle BCE,

By pythagoras Theorem,

BC^2 = BE^2 + EC^2

=> 10^2 - 8^2 = EB^2

=> EB^2 = 100 - 64

=> EB^2 = 36

=> EB = 6cm.

Area of Triangle BCE = 1/2 × B × H

=> 1/2 × 6 × 8

=> 24cm^2.

So, Area of shaded region = 180 - 24

=> 156 cm^2.
