Given :

  • Ramesh needs x gram of sugar to make 150 g of sugar solution with 20% (w/w)

To Find :

  • value of x and y

Solution :

\huge\sf\rightarrowtail Given that Ramesh wanted X gram of sugar to make 150 gram of sugar solution .

So ,

\sf\huge\implies\frac{x}{150} × 100

\sf\huge\implies 20

\sf\huge\implies x = 20 × \frac{15}{10}

\sf\huge\implies 30 g

Therefore, value of x is equals to 30g.

\star Again Rohan added y gram of water to reduce concentration to 15 % (w/w)

So ,

\sf\huge\implies \frac{30}{15 + y} = \frac{15}{100}

\sf\huge\implies \frac{15}{150} + (y)

\sf\huge\implies 30 × 100

\sf\huge\implies 150 + y = 200

\sf\huge\implies y = 50

Hence , value of y = 50 g
