1.The sum of two complementary angles=90°.X=Y X+Y=90° and 2X=90°=>X=45°.
2. The sum of two supplementary angles =180°.X=Y ,X+Y=180°and thus 2X=180°=>X=90°.

since, x = y
and we know that, sum of complementary angles is 90°
do, we can say y as x as there value is same!
so, x+x = 90°
2x = 90°
x. = 90/2
x = 45°.............(1.)
so, x = y = 45°
then,
sum of supplementary angles is 180°
so, x+x= 180°
2x = 180°
x. = 180/2
x. = 90°................(2.)
thus, x = y = 90°
hope it was helpful!
