Light-Light is electromagnetic radiation within a certain portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. The word usually refers to visible light, which is the visible spectrum that is visible to the human eye and is responsible for the sense of sight.

Reflection-Bouncing back of a light ray after hitting any surface is known as reflection.

Image-A real image is a reproduction of an object via light that can be formed on a surface. A real image exists regardless of whether an observer is present.

Difference-1.    REGULAR  REFLECTION

1.  It occurs when parallel beam of incident rays remain parallel after reflection.

2.  The reflected rays are reflected in one direction

3.  Image formation takes place.

Irregular reflection-

1.  It occurs when parallel beam of incident light doesn’t remain parallel after reflection.

2.  The reflected rays are not reflected in one direction

3.  Image formation doesn’t take place.

2. When a pencil is obliquely dipped in water , the ray of light travelling from pencil to observer travel from denser medium to rarer medium & hence bend away from normal . In this way ,  every point of the dipped part of pencil has a virtual image slightly above the original position . So the pencil appears to be bent / broken at surface of water.
