Given, p(x) = 2x² - 5x + 7. q(x) = x - 1

q(x) = x - 1 = 0,

So,

x = 1

The remainder when p(x) is divided by q(x) is p(1) (By Remainder Theorem)

Thus,

p(1) = 2(1)² 5(1) + 7

p(1) = 2 5 + 7

p(1) = 4
