 Subtract equation 2 from 1

    x+2y=95

 -   x+y=70

 we get y=25

put y=25 in equation 1

 ⇒ x+y=70

 ⇒x+25=70

 ⇒x=70-25

 ⇒x=45  

 ANS:

 x=45

 y=25

2x+y =70

x+2y=95. adding these two

then 3x+3y =165 divide by 3

x+y =55

x=70-55=15

y=95-55=40
