Number of moles of CaCO3 in the sample = 200/100 = 2 moles

But only 25% of it is pure, so only 25% of it will participate in the reaction.

So,

25% of 2 moles = 0.5 moles

The balanced chemical equation is

CaCO3 ---------------> CaO + CO2

1 mole of CaCO3 will give out 1 mole of CO2

so, 0.5 moles will liberate 0.5 moles of CO2

1 mole of any gas at STP will occupy 22.4 litres of volume.

So,

0.5 moles of CO2 will occupy 11.2 litres.

Thus 11.2 litres of CO2 is produced.

Hope it helps!!
