distance covered in 1 litre of petrol=15km

distance covered in 3\frac{1}{5}litre of petrol=15×3\frac{1}{5}

                                                          = 15×\frac{16}{5}

                                                          = 48km

b)

quantity of petrol required to cover a distance of 15 km = 1 litre petrol

100 km = \frac{1}{15}×100

            =6.67 litre

quantity of petrol required to cover a distance of 100km = 6.67 litre
