Balance Your Check Book
You are responsible for managing your family’s checkbook for one month. During this period of time, you will make deposits, make withdrawals from the ATM, and write checks to pay various bills. Your family trusts you with this money since you are saving to buy new shoes for Php 1750.
You will begin with a balance of Php 10,000. Your task is the following:
1. Record the transactions in order on your checkbook register.
2. Choose the necessary operations in order in your checkbook register.
3. Solve correctly to have the accurate balance at the end of the month.

The following deposits/withdrawals were made this month:

9/7- It rained all week, and there was a leak on the roof. You have it repaired and paid a rate of Php 5,000.
9/14 – On the bright side, the rain made the grass grow in your entire neighborhood. Fortunately, your parents own a lawn mowing business and you are in charge of mowing your neighbor’s lawns. The rate you charge is Php 1,250 per lawn, and you mowed 6 lawns.
9/15 – The next day you received an electricity bill of Php 7,450, so you issued a check to pay for it.
9/20 – That night you went to a basketball game. The ticket costs Php 1,850 each and you paid for you and your cousin to get it.
At the end of the game, you went to a fast-food chain and purchased some food, and charged Php 750 to your ATM debit card.
9/26 – When you got home, you received a notice that the check your mom and dad issued last week for school cleared. The amount withdrawn from your account is Php 4,150.
9/27 – An overdraft fee of Php 1,750 was withdrawn to your account for insufficient funds.
9/28 – The overdraft fee scared you, so you counted up all the change in your family’s piggy bank. Surprise! You had Php 3,820.5, which you deposited into your family’s account.
9/28 – You also deposited the money you received from babysitting your neighbor’s son. You babysat for 4 hours and received Php 450 an hour.
9/30 – What is your account balance? Do you have enough money to buy your dream shoes? If you don’t have enough money, how much do you need? If you do have enough, how much extra money do you have (if any)?
