Solution

Given :-

  • Two equal side of an isosceles triangle are 6 m less than the third side .
  • perimeter of isosceles triangle = 45 m

Find :-

  • Length of its sides

Explanation

We Know,

In ABC isosceles triangle ,

  • It have two equal side and a different base .

Let,

According to question

  • Base of isosceles triangle = x m
  • Two equal side of triangle be = (x - 6 )m

Using Formula

\dag\boxed{\underline{\tt{\blue{\: Perimeter_{isosceles\: triangle}\:=\:(2a+b)}}}}

Here,

  • 2a = 2(x - 6)
  • b = x

So, keep all above Values

==> perimeter of isosceles triangle = 2x - 12 + x

==> 45 = 3x - 12

==> 3x = 45 + 12

==> 3x = 57

==> x = 57/3

==> x = 19

Hence

  • Base will be of isosceles triangle = 19m
  • Two equal side of isosceles triangle will be = (x - 6) = (19 - 6) = (19 - 6) = 13m

Given:- Two equal sides of an isosceles triangle are 6 m less than the third side. The perimeter of the triangle is 45 m.

To find:- Length of its sides.

⠀⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

\sf{\underline{According\: to\: the\: question}}

\bf{\star{\boxed{\red{Perimeter_{(isosceles\: triangle)} = (2a + b)}}}}

\sf{\dashrightarrow{45 = 3x - 12}}

\sf{\dashrightarrow{3x = 45 + 12}}

\sf{\dashrightarrow{3x = 57}}

\sf{\dashrightarrow{x = \dfrac{57}{3}}}

\mathfrak{\dashrightarrow{\boxed{\pink{x = 19}}}}

Hence,

  • Base = 19 m
  • Two equal sides = (x - 6) = (19 - 6) = 13 m
