Answer:

Total students = 60

Let's No of boys = x

Then no of girls = 2x (twice of boys)

=> 2x+x = 60

=> x = 60/3 = 20..

Boys = 20 & Girls = 40.

Rank of Mellisa = 27th

No of boys infront of her = 9 rankers in boys...

Then no of girls infront of her = 27-9 => 18 girl rankers

How many girls after her rank?

Total girls - girl rankers infront of Mellisa

40 - 18

=> 22...

Answer:

your answer is 22.

Explanation:

her rank is 27th and there were 9 boys ahead so we have to find no of boys and girls.

A.T.Q,

let the no of boys be x

and no of girls be 2x

total strength 60

x+2x=60

3x=60

x=60/3

x=20

no of boys is 20 and no of girls is 30

where 9 boys are ahead means 11 boys are back

therefore 60-(27+11)=no of girls who are after her rank

60-38=22

HOPE IT HELPS
