Young plants require the type of soil that absorbs adequate water and is adequately porous to grow. Pot A that contains clay absorbs a lot of water and is not porous at all, whareas pot B that contains sand does not absorb water at all and it is extremely porous, but pot C that contains loam is adequately porous and moist. Hence, the sapling present in pot C will show healthy growth.
