Given :-

  • Length of wire = 55ft.
  • Distance From base of Tower = 37ft.

Solution :-

From image we can see That :-

in Right ∆CAB,

→ AB = Distance of Tower From base = 37ft .

→ BC = Length of wire = 55ft. = Hypotenuse

→ Angle ABC = @ .

we know That, cos@ = Base / Hypotenuse .

So ,

→ cos@ = (37/55)

→ @ = cos^(-1)(37/55)

→ @ = 47.72° ≈ 48° (Approx).

Hence, The value of Angle Formed b/w wire and ground is 48° (Approx).

\Large{\underline{\underline{\bf{Solution :}}}}

Given :

Length of wire (YZ) = 55 ft

Base (XY) = 37 ft

___________________________

To Find :

We have to find the angle formed between the wire and the ground.

___________________________

Solution :

Let the angle be \theta

We know that,

\Large{\implies{\boxed{\boxed{\sf{Cos \theta = \frac{Base}{Hypotenuse}}}}}}

____________[Put Values]

\sf{→Cos \theta = \frac{37}{55}} \\ \\ \sf{→Cos \theta = 0.672} \\ \\ \bf{We \: know \: that,} \\ \\ \Large{\star{\boxed{\sf{Cos \: 47.73^{\circ} = 0.67}}}} \\ \\ \sf{→\theta = 47.72} \\ \\ \sf{→\theta ≈ 48^{\circ}} \\ \\ \large{\implies{\boxed{\boxed{\sf{\theta ≈ 48^{\circ}}}}}}
