Let the weight of copper and zinc be 4x Kg and 7x Kg respectively.

Therefore, by the problem

4x + 7x = 7.7

or 11x = 7.7

or x = 7.7/11

or x = 0.7

Therefore the weight of copper = (4X0.7) Kg = 2.8 Kg and the weight of zinc = (7X0.7) Kg = 4.9 Kg

Answer: Copper: 2.8 Kg

Zinc: 4.9 Kg
