given force is on average and changes with the distance streched

so, W = 10.0 N x 0.150 m = 1.5 J

b)work done is equal to the change in the elastic potential energy as the initial energy is zero because the elastic is not stretched

PE = 1.5 J

c)we assumed that the initial work done on elastic is zero because the elastic is not stretched

d)By treating the elastic and the object as a system, no work is done on it during releasing the elastic, which means the energy is conserved. So elastic potential energy of the object equals the kinetic energy.
