to find x and y

=> | 2x | | -y | | 10 |

=> | 2x - y | = | 10 |

| 3x + y | | 5 |

=> 2x - y = 10

3x + y = 5

adding two equations,

5x = 15 => x = 3

substituting value of x in one of the equations,

=> 3 × 3 + y = 5

=> 9 + y = 5

=> y = 5 - 9 = -4

therefore x = 5 and y = -4
