Required Answer:-

We have:

  • A six sided hexagon.
  • Measure of all the sides with variable x.
  • Perimeter of the shape = 109 cm.

To FinD:

  • Value of x = ?

Step-by-step Explanation:

Perimeter is just the length of the boundary of any closed figure. Then, perimeter of any polygon will be the sum total of all the sides

Then:

➛ 2x + 1 + x + 3 + x - 4 + 2x - 1 + 2x + 2 + 3x - 2 = 109 cm

➛ 11x - 1 cm = 109 cm

➛ 11x = 110 cm

➛ x = 10 cm

Hence:

  • The value of x is 10 cm.

Answer:

Given :-

  • A six sided hexagon.
  • Measure of all the sides with variable x.
  • Perimeter of the shape = 109 cm.

To Find :-

Value of x

Solution :-

As we know that perimeter is the sum of boundary of a figure.

 \sf \: (2x + 1) + (x + 3) + (x - 4) + (2x - 1) + (2x + 2) + (3x - 2) = 109

Let add the variable and constant by breaking them.

 \sf \: 2x + x + x + 2x + 2x + 3x

 \sf \: = 11x

Sum of variable = 11x

 \sf \: 1 + 3 - 4 - 1 + 2 - 2 = 1

Sum of constant = 1

Now,

 \sf \: 11x - 1 = 109

 \sf \: 11x = 109 + 1

 \sf \: 11x = 110

 \sf \: x =  \dfrac{110}{11}

 \huge \tt \: x = 10
