Constitution makes people aware of their own rights.. the Constitution doesn't allow the majority dominate the minority as our constitution says that all the people are equal in a country , everybody have their own rights and no one can be oppressed by the other .

I study social science in Hindi so this will not be exact but I tried.. hope this will help uh !
