Hey, my answer for your question in which you asked ( the point which divides the point ( 8, -9 ) and ( 2, 3 ) in ratio 1:2 was WRONG . I am sorry for this . I mistakenly used a wrong Formula ! please report that question !! I am providing the right answer of that question !!

HERE IS THE ANSWER :-

Step-by-step explanation

A(8, -9)

B(2, 3)

Here p divides the line segment joining point A(8, -9)

B(2, 3)

A(8, -9) lies on the 4 quadrant

And b point lies on the 1 st quadrant

We can get the division of point p by section formula

If AP:BP =1:2

Then the coordinates of p =

X = 8×2+2×1/2+1=6

Y=-9×2+3×1/2+1= -5

& (+, -) lies on 4th quadrant

Hence it will lie on the 4th quadrant

........

Hope you ❤ it

Thanks !!
