let the number of boys be 'x' and girls be 'y'

ATQ:

1st case

x=160+y

2nd case

45%(x+y)=y

 \frac{45}{100} (x + y) = y

 \frac{9}{20}  \times (x + y) = y

9x + 9y = 20y

9x = 11y

9(160 + y) = 11y

1440 + 9y = 11y

2y = 1440

y = 720

=>Boys = 720+160

x =880

=>Girls, y=720
